1 Million Bikes, 1 Million Lights is the latest CSR initiative of Enterprise Asia
Thousands of children living in the most rural and impoverished parts of Asia, with this initiative, we hope to ease the journey to school for children in these areas by means of providing them with a bicycle. In these villages, children have to trek through dirt roads just to go to school and back, some covering a total distance of a few kilometres a day.
With every ride we provide, it provides a pillar of hope for the children, their families and eventually the villages. We hope that they will continue to gain access to education and be able to lift their families out of poverty and contribute to social and national economy subsequently. The bicycles being used not only meant as a transport for school children but also for livelihood purposes as well.
